Spiritual Maturity
We take for granted growing up physically – Learning to talk, walk, eat, dress ourselves, and all the many other physical things we are taught. Everyone is given this physical training – so everyone achieves a certain level of expertise or maturity on a physical level.
What about spirit? What kind of spiritual training did you have? Were you informed that you are spirit, and the body is only your vehicle? Did your mother have the necessary information to allow you to have your body for you?
Most of the people who join our Seminary are seeking this spiritual training as a means to spiritual maturity. That’s why we call it a “spiritual kindergarten”.
You ask, what does spirit need to learn? Spirit, which is all powerful, all knowing and totally amused?
Spirit is here to learn how to function in a physical reality. How to manipulate time and space. How to separate itself from all else and identify its own unique vibration and information. Without this separation one cannot ultimately return to Oneness.
One step to achieving this spiritual maturity is acknowledging you are spirit, you have a body and they are different. Then begins the process of separating the two sets of problems. Next comes recognizing other or foreign energy one has collected both as spirit and body and cleansing them from both spaces.
Another step is spirit becoming senior to the body and removing as much as possible of fear, hate, guilt, grief, pain, and all the debilitating energies which keep spirit out of the body.
These steps to spiritual maturity are not all taken in a day month or even one lifetime. As in physical maturity we create many lessons from which to learn.
One main stumbling block we all have to growing spiritually is trying to do it by physical rules. Such as with effort, competition, and other physical limitations. It is necessary to learn the rules to play by as spirit just as we learn the physical limitations. It is necessary to learn the rules to play by as spirit just as we learn the physical rules – “Please, brush your teeth, be nice to people,” etc.
Some of these spiritual rules are:
- Everyone has individual space and can control his/her own energy and space
- No one has the right to invade another’s space
- You must use your power to develop it
There are many very capable souls who have not achieved maturity on a spiritual level and are therefore using their abilities to manipulate and control others. Fortunately these beings will eventually diminish their power if they misuse it too long or too often.
Until you can control energy in a body you don’t get a planet to run!
One very important step to maturity is developing or reallowing one’s clairvoyance. Usually this is used to look at or see others – the real function of this ability is to see what is, as it is – especially yourself and your interconnection with all you encounter. Looking at yourself from neutral is quite a spiritual step. This takes lots of forgiveness and amusement. Especially when you look at all of your so-called sins.
When Jesus says “come as a little child” he speaks of spiritual maturity, one with nothing to hide, unashamed of self. Spiritual maturity is seeing and accepting self as a child does; without expectations, recriminations, guilt or fear.
